Do you think it's worse to be in a relationship and have one-night stands or have another relat. on the side?

I was watching Queer as Folk, and it made me think of this issue. When you're part of a couple, and if you're away, is it worse to fornicate without feelings with some random stranger, or to do so with someone else that you develop/have feelings for? Because it seems wrong to have a one-night stand as a quick *****, but it's more of a betrayal if there's a relationship on the side, than if it was just a fckbuddy thingg.

But if I would have to make an opinion on it, I would have to say that having two relationships with feelings would be worse then having a relationship and then having random one night stands. It's all a betrayal to that other person. What does your partner think? As for me, I think that a relationship on the side is much better than a one night stand. At least you will always know who you are with. It depends on your frame of mind when you asking about betrayal. Personally, I think that it can be healthy at times.
