Guys thoughts on ONE night stands?

It's not really my style, but last month was my first one night stand. I was at a bar with some friends, a guy caught my eye. We mingled, I ended up going back to his place. We hooked up, exchanged numbers...I figured he wouldn't call.



Surprisingly, he did. Texted me to make sure I made it back to my friends that night, he called the next day, asking if I'd be around again. That I seem funny and interesting.



He's called several times since. We've spoken online. He'll send me random texts often. The other night, I called to say hey...and afterwards, he sent a text saying "I loved the random call. Seriously do it anytime. I love talking to you"



He lives a few hours away so I wasnt expecting anything to happen, but I'm kind of interested.



Guys, what do you think after a one night stand? Do you lose respect for a girl and only see her for sex? Or would you actually consider getting to know them...?

women think it screws things up or lose respect in the morning, but not really. If we like the girl, we want to carry on a relationship. If it were me, I would think you just liked me alot to do that in one night. one night stands are fun and just what is needed at the time.we go to places like that for just that reason most of the time.But every once in awhile it feels right so you try to meet up again to test the waters and hopefully get another hook-up to cap the evenning

I'm not a one night stand type of guy so I'm not sure what the ''norm'' thinking is.

But i think if you're interested in this guy, try some dates without sex, and see how he reacts.

Just get to know him, maybe the way you use to get know guys before you tried one night stands.

Just a thought.

I don't think one night stands make a person bad, it's just a riskier way of life.

And in my opinion, sleeping together first with someone probably isn't the best way to start a good long term relationship.

IF that's what you're looking for.

But I'm no expert, i could be way wrong on this.
I'm not a one night stand type of guy, so I have to guess how I would act. I admire this guy you met for not disappearing. He didn't just use you for his own satisfaction. I would hope I would be the same way.



To answer your other questions, I respect every woman I date. I want to know her and be in love with her before we have sex.
In my life, I really have never had a one night stand, cause I know its always better to call back, and ask for more.. lol
