Virtual Villagers-finished puzzles what next?

I finished all of the puzzles and got the cave open and got the treasure all dug up. What do I do next? Is someone eventually going to come out of the cave? How do I get someone in there to explore? Is the treasure good for anything but admiring it? Does the Golden Child stay 5 forever? Help!Virtual Villagers-finished puzzles what next?
Nothing else will happen until VV2 comes out, no one will come out of the game jus watch the people grow up and see what all happens with the island events, and yes the child stays 5 forever, groovy huh!!!!! No noone can go into explore it either but i was told in VV2 they will have to move to a diff part of the island because someone was spyin on them in that one, but hey i say jus keep them going and growing it will be nice to see wat all they do, and to watch the people you taught grow old and continue on good luckVirtual Villagers-finished puzzles what next?
as far as i can tell that's it unfortunately. i just started the village over but it's pretty boring once you beat itVirtual Villagers-finished puzzles what next?
once you've dropped a villager into the mouth of the cave you've seen the ending, although you may continue to party with the golden child forever he will keep dragging your villagers away from any tasks you set them on, if you want to keep it running for whatever reason you can put some effort into keeping your villagers alive

beat the drum on the right side of the school to drag that nasty golden child to the school (as well as all the children of the village) and keep beating it until your people have made the babies you need, gathered the food you need, or just done what you wanted them to do

here's the forum on the game site which discusses the official position on everything
