Virtual villagers-building houses?

i am at level 3 of everything and have reached 90 ppl...the people are "worried about housing"..how can i build more houses? or am i only able to build those first 5? also, will i ever be able to have more than 90 ppl?Virtual villagers-building houses?

    I have placed a totem on the center of the mosaic and it did not work. How do I get this piece of the gong. I have even placed 5 totems on the mosaic and i cant get it to work. Is this something in the game or am i doing it wrong.Virtual villagers 2?
    You just have to hover the totem piece very SLOWLY above the center of the mosaic place.

    I think you're suppose to put the round green totem on the round piece in the center of the mosaic. Keep trying until it opens. You might not have it just right.Virtual villagers 2?

    It is part of a late-game puzzle. I believe you use it to make a gold ball. I don't remember the exact puzzle though. I would go to the Jaygames site and look for their excellent walktrough.

    The 6th herb appears behind the research lab (where the kids go to pee) as soon as you research level 2 of your faction. Since you researched it, it should already be there. Are you sure you purchased level 2 of the faction?

    If you're referring to the first Virtual Villagers, then I would suggest to keep trying to get the two girls pregnant and nursing and hope that they give birth to at least one girl. Otherwise, there isn't much else to do besides wait and hope that you receive a special event which brings one, two or three new toddlers and maybe one will be a girl so that your village is saved.



    If you have the second Virtual Villagers, then you would simply have to wait for a special event that brings new villagers to the tribe and thus saves your village. The girls in this one don't get pregnant (usually) after they hit their fifties.

    my villagers are going to run out of food. how can i get rid of the algae in the ocean so i can fish again? oh and btw this is on my i touch. i have a steady supply but i have 8 villagers 5 of them adults. oh and how do u get a builders construction up when i already built both the huts?Virtual Villager 2 algae problem??
    your builders will automatically go to repair the huts from time to time and they will gain skill from that.

    I need help with virtual villagers 3rd!?

    Im trying to complete puzzle 5, and I already know how to complete it. It says that I need 3 adept farmers and a chief to dance around the firepit with fire, but since i've been getting food from the big peach tree, i can't get any food to grow fast enough, and there seems to be hardly any food on the peach tree. This is making it really hard to even get one adept farmer. Is there another way to grow food around the island? Plz Help me!I need help with virtual villagers 3rd!?
    There are three, techinically five food sources in VV3.



    1. The Beehive, which slowly regenerates.

    2. The trees, there are a total of three seeds, you start with one and can complete puzzles for the next two. Trees also slowly regrow fruit.

    3. The Ocean, but this requires a couple of levels of tech/magic and possibly a couple of levels of alchemy. The ocean takes a long walk, but it is a limitless food source once unlocked.



    4. The chief can boost your food supplies once a day if you drop him/her on the food storage hut.

    5. Children can gather mushrooms, which are more common in the rain.



    I recommend hitting Google for "Virtual Villagers 3 walkthrough" for help on the puzzles.

    I had 35 people but most of them died and I only have 17 left.... They are all weakened exept for a kid (only have 3 kids left). 4-5 woman have babies but they babies should be kids in less than 40 min. I have level 2 everything and I have 66,000 tech points wich I need for level 3 farming. I have 3 huts built, a sewing hut built, a dam built (crops will grow in about 7 min). I have everyone who isn't nursing "enjoying pond" so they can heal but it's not working! This game is really fun and I don't want to start all over. Some of the most important people died and the graveyard is really full. lol. Anyway, HELP! What can I do to prevent more ppl from dying and to help my weakened villagers. I don't see why they are weakened, cuz they are either researching or farming.

    Virtual Villagers, multiple questions?

    Anyway, several of my villagers seem to be stuck at adept and won't go up to master. I have a few master scientists, but the builders and farmers will not go past adept no matter how long I have them work. Why is that? Do I need to buy more construction or farming tech points for them to move up? I already have level 2 for both construction and farming.



    By the way, it seems to take FOREVER to get tech points. Is there a faster way? I mean is research the only way? Is there anything else my villagers can do to make tech points faster? To solve more puzzles at this point I need more tech points.



    I have solved puzzles 1-5 and puzzle 9. They still can't fish, even just for normal fish (I mean not just for the special one) because my farmer won't advance to a master farmer. I can't have a golden child until my fertility is to the third level (and I think spirituality) and it seems I need a golden child for many of the puzzles.



    So what do I do next??????????????Virtual Villagers, multiple questions?
    It takes a good deal of time for your villagers to go to master status. With science, it's a lot easier because all of the researchers are around a small table. With building and farming, the villagers have to go a lot further in order to complete their tasks so it will take a lot longer for them to jump higher in level. You don't necessarily have to buy more construction or farming tech for them to become masters.



    The only real way to get tech points faster is by changing your speed to 2X speed as opposed to 1/2X or normal speed. Also, upgrading your tech in science will allow your villagers to earn more tech points each time they succeed in researching. I would also suggest sticking more villagers on the research table in order to get more tech points. In this version of the game, research is the only way unless island events give you any tech points.



    Fishing only comes with level 3 of Farming so it has nothing to do with your adept farmer.



    I would suggest either getting level 3 of science or Farming first since either will help you the most. The science will help increase the amount of tech points you receive each time a scientist succeeds in researching while the farming will help you have an unlimited food supply so you don't have to worry about whether your villagers are going to die of starvation or not. Save the Golden Child puzzle for as long as you can since solving that first may hinder solving the other puzzles which don't require the Golden Child. The Golden Child actually needs the idol completed, level 3 in Fertility, and the lagoon completed to be born.

    Beat Virtual Villagers~!?

    ok, once i started playing this game (which was like 5 days ago if not just a week) i got TOTALLY addicted to it and couldnt stop playing :| And just today I FINISHED IT!!! I got the treasure but huh?! its just sitting there sparkling! i thought the villagers would like, gain something or find a map to a new place in the island or something!!! is this it?? what do i should i do know!?     Virtual Villagers .."see something unusual"?

    I am leveled all the way up in all areas of the game. I have my temple,statue, %26amp; treasure chest. I don't have the golden child anymore (they died of old age), and haven't moved the boulder yet.

    My villagers keep walking down to the treasure chest and say "I see something unusual" . Then they look around in the sand for a little bit, and leave. Can you please tell me what this is and how to get it?

    Also I am getting really fed up with having made the golden child, or about 5-6 of them, and nothing is happening as far as the boulder goes. The butterflies don't follow them to the plant that will eventually "produce fruit".

    This is all driving me nuts,lol

    I appreciate any help on the "something unusual" that my villagers are seeing.

    You can create the Golden Child again, by getting another nursing mom and putting her into the lagoon.

    Golden Children don't die of old age. They never get past the age of 5.

    The something unusual is actually the treasure chest. It's a bug, like if you move a villager above the school even after you found it they will still say that they think it can be transformed.

    You must wait until the GCs get 5. Sometimes it takes like days to get the GC to move the boulder. Don't worry. Nothing is happening.

    You have to bring the GC to the Magic Flower Garden. If you have n't got the Magic Flower Garden, bring a villager to the east of the island where they say that they see dead flowers. If you have the lagoon they will start watering the field with the lagoon water. It takes a couple of tries 4 the GC to assure the butterflies to follow him. When they follow, bring the GC to the Fruit of Life (the orange plant with large orange leaves and no fruit , beside the cactus) and the butterflies will pollinate them.

    I think GoldenGuppy ... has answered all your qustions i too don't believed you got the golden child cuz he never goes past 5 years and he'll move the boulder by himself and when he is in the garden the butterflies will follow him. i dont think there is anything unusal in the tresure chest

    once you've dropped a villager into the mouth of the cave you've seen the ending, although you may continue to party with the golden child forever he will keep dragging your villagers away from any tasks you set them on, if you want to keep it running for whatever reason you can put some effort into keeping your villagers alive



    beat the drum on the right side of the school to drag that nasty golden child to the school (as well as all the children of the village) and keep beating it until your people have made the babies you need, gathered the food you need, or just done what you wanted them to do

  • Virtual Villagers 2 - no random events since purchase?

    I bought VV2 after playing it online and getting "addicted". But since I have bought it I have noticed that I no longer seem to be getting those pop ups for random events ie walking on the beach and you find a package wrapped up do you open it?



    I found those to be very helpful in the demo. I have the game set on 2x speed and easy difficulty.Can anyone tell me why I no longer get the random events? During the demo I was getting them like every 5 minutes.Virtual Villagers 2 - no random events since purchase?
    You were getting them rather insanely frequent on the demo, probably because you only have a very limited time to play.



    Random events are just that, random. They are very infrequent and rarely seen in VV2 - they were more frequent in VV1.

    Okay, I found 5 of the herbs, didn't know there are 6, now I need to find that one. But, the real problems are these. I can't cut down the vines for some reason. I have up to level 2 in the science, farming and building. How do I cut the vines? The parrrots keep eating all the crops, and now I had to restart because my people starved to death. I have all this algae in the water so I can't fish. I think once I have gotten these things taken care of, it will be okay. But, I can't do a whole lot if all the villagers starve!     Hi there!



    Ok to start off...you need to make a scare crow to ward off those pesky birds. Drag a farmer over to the vines to the right of the bramble bushes. I think you need to do this twice for him to build it that will solve your bird problem.



    To get rid of the algae you need level 3 in farming which cost 90'000 tech points. Then you drag a master farmer to the pond and he will hunt for the fish and take it over to the sea. (for me this took ages and several attempts with a master scientist and farmer)



    To cut down the vines you need to drag a master scientist to the glinting rock below the blue rose and he/she will take it back to the science table then drag him back to the bottom of the vine (just a little further down) he will take the bendy vine and make a tool for your builders to cut down the brambles.



    Ok lastly the position of all 6 herbs.



    1. Top left of the map very corner.

    2. To the right of the vines top. (blue)

    3. A little further to the right of the blue rose. (blue)

    4. Above the water slide. (dark blue/black)

    5. At the end of the stream next to the wall. (red)

    6. Bottom middle of the map (orange)

    Here are the answers, in the order you've typed them.



    1. Getting rid of the algae is part of one of the sixteen puzzles. Please look at what I say for question five for a specific answer.



    2. Buying level 2 of Farming to gain access to the coconuts or buying level 2 of Construction so that your villagers can build a dam and thus grow crops will help save your villagers from starvation if you've already gotten the algae in the ocean.



    3. You can't, not really anyhow. The best way is to put a large number of villagers on researching and keeping them on task. Otherwise, there's nothing else to do unless you're lucky enough to get an island event which gives you free tech points.



    4. With none of the collections completed, 90 people are all that can be in a tribe. With all of the collections completed, you can have 115 villagers.

    I played this too and I found a cheat: if you set the time on your computer for the future, your villagers will work really fast and when you log on again they will have finished their task. Of course they die a lot quicker like this, just make sure to have them reproduce a lot before you do this so that the babies will be grown!

    Virtual Villagers 2 help; lots of detail?

    I bought VV2: The Lost Children on my iPod. The algae appeared, and I can't get rid of it!!

    I have;

    -2 Adept Scientests

    -1 Adept Farmer

    -2 Adept Builders

    -1 Trainee Doctor

    -9 Villagers (Most adults have 1 or 2 skills they are "adept" at)

    -Around 6000 Tech Points

    -I'm at level 2 farming

    -I'm almost out of coconuts at only 100 food left



    Help me! I know I need 90 000 tech points for farming level 3 and a master scientist/master farmer to clear the algae. I'm not even close to the 90 000 Tech points!! I have quite a few children (villagers under the age of 14). Maybe 5 children. What do I do now? My villagers are worried about food! I can't fish, soon I won't be able to get coconuts and I'll have to rely on mushrooms. :(Virtual Villagers 2 help; lots of detail?
    You have farming 2 right? In that case you need to prepare the farm. If you examine the stream that comes running down the right side of the map you should find a construction frame. This is a dam, and you need to finish it.

    Once you do the farm will be rather obvious, and every couple of hours it will sprout renewable food for your tribe. Assign a farmer or two to it so they can do harvests when you aren't playing.

    You'll get less than full yield, however, until you build a scarecrow. To build one take your Adept Farmer and search the vines near the top of the screen. You need to do it twice to finish the scarecrow and it isn't possible to do until the dam is finished.

    The farm will be able to sustain a decent population until you fix the algae problem.

    You just have to keep doing it until it works. Don't intterupt the transporter(s) until they wander off onto another task.

    Make them farmers and scientist, also make children gather mushrooms. After reaching enough points buy Restoration. Make 3 of your villagers master builders, and make them work together on the broken machine.



    The machine is a lift, which allows ur villager stand on it and during rain being lifted up to reach a fruit. You can harvest fruit like that every time it rains. first 2 fruits will be seed, the next ones can be eaten.

    Hey, I have Virtual Villagers 2: The Lost Children for PC (Full Version) and I'm having difficulty with a few things.



    I build a fire right away, get people to work at Building, Researching, and Farming.



    After my farmers over-fish the ocean and the algae starts building up, I have just enough Tech Points to buy Farming for 1500 so my people can start harvesting Coconuts.



    Once the coconuts run out, I have just enough Tech Points to buy Engineering so I can build a dam to get a fertile field. The problem is, I only have about 150 Food left and about 5% Completed with the dam and that's 3 villagers working on Building and 3 villagers working on Research.



    Either I don't have enough Tech Points or I run out of food... what the hell??

    put all the villagers on the dam, or you might have to start again and just get one of the men to become a parent so he makes loads of children and then you will have loads of villagers ready for that part of the game

I know that you are supposed to get a builder to clear the rocks and i have a master builder but he doesn't know what to do.     these are the instructions for puzzle 5:



    Puzzle 5 is completed by removing the blockage from the creek in the northwest corner of the village. Your villagers will need to have researched Level 2 of Construction to work on this puzzle. Drag a villager to the pile of rocks blocking the flow of water from the creek. Once the blockage is cleared, the water will flow into a sparkling lagoon that your villagers will use for various work and leisure activities. This puzzle is a key to three other puzzles.



    If you drop your master builder on the rocks and he says he's confused, you probably need to make sure you bought the Level 2 construction. then he should know how to clear the rocks when you start him there. You might have to put him there a couple of times but after a while he will work on the project by himself.

    You clean the rocks by catching the crabs. Drop one child onto the area with the crab to distract it. Then, drop another on the area. They should distract it enough that it slows down. Drop an adult villager on the crab and he will carry it over to the rocks. Repeat until all the rocks are clean. Purifying the tree is a multi-step process. Check out the walkthrough I used.     You can "talk" to the blue heathens. The only heathens that will chase you are the ones wearing orange masks.

    Make sure you have a child or children. They are essential in the beginning. Watch closely for mushrooms and collectibles. Mushrooms will keep your village alive until they find better food sources, and collectibles help boost your energy meter. You will need the energy meter to complete many of the puzzles in the game.

    You could also try holding alt and F5 together. Now, collect any type of food while holding ctrl. Finally, your food will begin to duplicate. If an error occurs, type in "A4vb677fyK" inside the code box. The code box only appears for Virtual Villagers 5.

    You begin with level 1 in all technologies.

    Level 2 science allows the clothing hut to be built and the lab to be restored enough to convert the purple mask science master. You will also accumulate tech points more quickly. Level 3 science allows for another lab upgrade, and you accumulate points more quickly.

    Level 2 medicine allows your villagers to live to their late 60s (they will get elderly in their early 60s). It also increases fertility and upgrades the hospital. Level 3 medicine allows your villagers to live into their 70s and beyond (they will get elderly in their late 60s). Again, it increases fertility.

    Level 2 learning makes your villagers learn their tasks more quickly, and means they will reach master status sooner. Level 3 learning causes the nursery school foundation to appear. Once it is built you can train the children in there (you need someone who is adept in at least 3 areas to teach).

    Level 2 construction allows for the second hut, the repair of the aqueduct for the farm, and the next level construction of the hand statue. Level 3 construction gets you the third hut and the final level of construction of the hand statue.

    Level 2 spirituality gets you more energy capacity, and allows the statue upgrade (in combination with construction level 2). Level 3 spirituality gets you more energy capacity, you are more efficient at converting the heathens, and you can do the final statue upgrade (in combination with construction level 3).

    Food mastery doesn't open up a supply of food, it merely increases the amount of food you can get from your source and improves your storage methods so it disappears more slowly. At level 1 you get a base amount of food, at level 2 you yield 50% more, and at level 3 you double your yield. Therefore, for foods that you gather in the game:

    Gray mushrooms: level 1 = 6 food points, level 2 = 9 food points, level 3 = 12 food points.

    Red mushrooms: level 1 = 35 food points, level 2 = 52 food points, level 3 = 70 food points.

    Noni fruit: level 1 = 2 food points, level 2 = 3 food points, level 4 = 4 food points.

    Ok I finished the game and of course you can still play to finish up anything else that you need to do. But some trophies left I mastered food, medicine, and spirituality. My main objective is to finish these 2 trophies have triplets or twins. Can't get my villagers to have twins or triplets. Help!Virtual villagers 5 the new believers?
    It's random. High levels of medicine helps, but you just need to keep having kids and it will happen eventually.

    really, i obsessed on figuring out all the puzzles on my own without the help of cheats or any of that stuff, and then i was all finished in less than 2 days, it was very disappointing for me, not to mention that the whole game there are these eyes looking out at you from behind this huge boulder, and then when you move the boulder you don't find out who or what those eyes belonged to (sad huh)



    but there is merit in being able to control the little people and not have to be in the real world for a short time

    In my experience, resetting the computer clock does work for VV2. Other than that, there are no cheat codes for VV2 and I myself haven't used/heard of anybody using a cheat program to tweak the game with success.



    Some tips:-



    1) save setting aside a few villagers for accumulating food, put the rest of your villagers to work at the research table.

    2) "Untrained" villagers should be kept "at" the table until they reach "trainee" status, otherwise when you leave and come back to the game you'll find them loitering about doing nothing constructive.

    3) it is worth considering having more kids to gather those tech points (just check you have enough food and housing)

    4) you can always fast forward the game by setting the clock on your computer, but it can mangle your game in one way or another, i.e. the wait between crops/before pregnant villagers give birth could be measured in thousands of minutes! No harm done if you've already another source of food or no kids are on the way, of course....

    5) if you elect to set back the clock and then increment forward (better than going forwards in time and then affecting your game when you reset it backwards), remember to synchronize the PC clock and the game so when you reset the clock to the point of accuracy, you don't wipe out the village by going too fast into the future and aging villagers to death before you know it!How do i use cheatengine 5.1 for virtual villager 2?
    unfortunatly, virtual villagers has NO CHEATS. its so sad isnt it? all i can suggest is you put more people at your research table to accumulate more tech points, if you have the garden, you can put your game on 2x speed and leave it alone for a while and come back and you will be amazed at all the tech points you have.



    another unfortunate thing is, VV2 will not go faster by speeding up your computer clock. it caused too many glitches in VV1 and so VV2 was built without that function.

    Question about Virtual Villagers.?

    I've done everything best I could so far. I'm at level 2 farming and I bought Level 2 Science just to get extra tech points building. But... my food supply keeps running to zero while I wait for my crops to regrow. When they need harvested I harvest then and then research like crazy while 5 villagers water. But on 2x speed it takes 90 minutes to regrow my crops! I have 20 villagers and earning 50,000 tech to get fishing is taking forever. Any hints or tips?Question about Virtual Villagers.?
    Your best bet is to make it so that you don't have too many children before you reach level 3 of Harvesting. Children don't do anything until they are 14 years of age at which time they can only work (can't breed until they are 18).



    Secondly, you don't need to have so many Villagers watering. All you really need is to have one Master Farmer and that should take care of the needs of a 'reasonable' size village. Put ALL of the other available people on Research and make sure they stay there and do their job. Might take a few tries with all of them, but just switch their preferences to liking Research. The more people you have researching the faster you will be able to reach Level 3.



    Also, if you do have children, make sure that as soon as a mushroom pops up that you grab it right away -- kids do help that way (the red mushrooms give you WAY more food points).



    Advancing the time on your computer isn't always successful -- in fact sometimes you can advance it a full day ahead and come back to a dead village, or worse yet... come back to needing 145 minutes to regrow the crops instead of 90. Advance the time at your own choice -- though it does defeat the purpose of the game. I'd recommend trying to play the game out the right way first before resorting to cheating.

    Lol xD I know what you mean! I couldn't get food for ages.. What you have to do is use the bees. MAKE SURE NO ONE IS NEAR THEM! Let the bees run the people off and then use EVERY SINGLE person you can to take the hungry totem apart.



    I will help you out greatly here... Take a child and when the orange masked heathens start coming back place the child near them untill you hear them make a grunting noise and chase your child. Then pick the child up and keep hold of the child. DO NOT MOVE or move very very slowly. Make sure the heathens are still following you. push M. M brings the map up. Then click the map to go back. Now your child PLUS the heathens should be stuck in mid air. They wont bother your people untill you drop someone near them. TAH-DAH! lol. Now the red heathens... They will come to gaurd the totem. Hopefully you would have taken down the totem. DO NOT WORRY. They will go right back and act like they are gaurding the totem for a little. But thankfully after they figure out... "Uh.. The totem.. Its broken" they will leave xD..

    Heres how to solve the gong puzzles.....



    Puzzles 13-16 are the pieces of the Gong of Wonder. The four pieces can be retrieved in the following ways:





    - A team of 3 Master Builders can open the crate on the beach, where one of the pieces has been hidden.



    - After purchasing Level 2 of Exploration, your villagers can clear the thorns blocking access to the gong encasement, which will also reveal a piece of the gong.



    - Prepare a magic stew that will allow one of your villagers to dive for the sunken gong piece in the pond. The herbs needed for that magic stew are: one of the black flower near the waterfall and two of the red-orange flower on the south side of the village. The pictures of the required herbs can be seen in the drawings on the wall once the vines have been removed. 1 black..... 2 orange



    - After finishing Puzzles 6 and 10, drop a totem in the center of the uncovered mosaic to reveal a piece of the gong.



    Once the gong is assembled you can experiment with the effects that it has on your village. You can bang the gong once every 24 hours.



    If it is the piece you get from dropping the totem in the middle of mosaic....... there have been some problems with earlier versions........ errors in the game, i downloaded my copy from reflexive.com and 2 weeks later got an email from them stating the older version had errors but there was now a new updated version without the errors........ hope this is not the case for you......

    Yes! Finally finished after 103 hours of playing. Actually I left the game running and let it play itself, once I had ppl skilled to do certain tasks. Now I'm just wonderin what comes after the 16th puzzle. Does the game continue or what? The 5 puzzles that you have left are probably the ones that require the Golden Childs envolvement.

    Don鈥檛 read these unless you want to know exactly how to solve each of the puzzles.



    Puzzle 1 requires a builder to clean up the well, so that there will be a source of fresh water for your tribe. Drag a villager with some building skill to the well.



    Puzzle 2 is the first of 3 additional huts that your villagers will construct as your population grows and your villagers require more housing. The huts will be initiated, as needed, by one of your builders. Your population is limited to 7 villagers until the first hut is finished. Once it鈥檚 finished, your tribe can grow to a population of 15. The second hut allows your population to expand to 30 villagers, and the final hut allows your population to grow to the population limit of approximately 90 villagers. You must have a villager trained in building in order to build the new huts. At the start of the game, one of your builders already has skill in building and will work on the hut unless you retrain them and assign them to a different occupation. It鈥檚 important to make sure that you have at least one builder in your village so that you will be able to provide additional housing for your growing tribe. If none of your villagers has any skill in building, and you need to train a builder, your villagers can gain building skill by fixing any of the 3 huts that they have constructed.



    Puzzle 3 is completed by cleaning up the debris on the beach. Completion of this puzzle is required before your villagers will be able to fish in the ocean (which also requires Level 3 of Harvesting). Drag a villager to the debris field and they will begin cleaning up the beach.



    Puzzle 4 is the founding of a school for your village. Drag a master scientist to the long building north of the research table.



    Puzzle 5 is completed by removing the blockage from the creek in the northwest corner of the village. Your villagers will need to have researched Level 2 of Construction to work on this puzzle. Drag a villager to the pile of rocks blocking the flow of water from the creek. Once the blockage is cleared, the water will flow into a sparkling lagoon that your villagers will use for various work and leisure activities. This puzzle is a key to three other puzzles.



    Puzzle 6 is dependent upon the completion of the lagoon and level 3 of Harvesting. Take a master farmer to the lagoon, and they will begin hunting a strange fish. It may take many tries before they succeed, so be patient and keep trying.



    Puzzle 7 is the discovery of the graveyard and requires Level 2 of Spirituality to complete. When one of your villagers dies, drag an adult villager to the northeast corner of the island. The villagers will celebrate the discovery and will then proceed to provide a proper burial for that little pile of bones in village center. After the first burial, your villagers will initiate burials for all deceased members of the tribe.



    Puzzle 8 requires that your villagers master the medicinal properties of 4 plants indigenous to the island. One plant is located south of the lagoon site, one is the cactus that鈥檚 located near the boulder, and the other two are on the east side of the island. Drag a villager to each of the 4 plants until each one is mastered.



    Puzzle 9 is dependent upon the completion of the lagoon. Take one of your villagers to the field on the east side of the island (where they see dead flowers), and they will begin to water the field with the pure water from the lagoon. If you have builders in your tribe, they will begin to water the field on their own. Villagers without building skill will water the field, also, but will stop after one trip. Once your villagers have put sufficient water on the field (it takes a lot of water), the field will be revived and will once again be in full bloom.



    Puzzle 10 is dependent upon the butterflies from puzzle 14. Those butterflies will be able to pollinate a special plant on the island. Once the butterflies begin to follow the Golden Child, drag him or her to the strange plant north of the berry bush.



    Puzzle 11 is the restoration of the temple at the site of the ruins. After attaining Level 3 of Construction, drag one of your villagers to the ruins in the southeast portion of the island, and they will begin restoring the ruins.



    Puzzle 12 is dependent upon the completion of the temple, as well as attaining Level 3 of Spirituality. Drag one of your builders to the sparkly rock on the west side of the village, and they will begin to chisel the rock.



    Puzzle 13 is the birth of the Golden Child and requires the completion of the idol, the lagoon, and Level 3 in Fertility. You will need to take a nursing mom to the lagoon.



    Puzzle 14 is dependent upon the Golden Child. Take the Golden Child to the Magic Flower Garden.



    Puzzle 15 is a buried treasure. Its location can be discovered only by a master builder. Your tribe must also have researched Level 3 in both Construction and Science before they have the technology required to make the discovery. You must actually drop your builder in the right location - dragging him around won't help you find it. Look for the message, "Is something buried here?" to tell you that you're in the right place. If you want a hint for the location, highlight the following white text: Try dropping your builder in various sandy places in the lower half of the village map to see if he notices anything. If you want the exact location, highlight this text: Try dropping your builder directly south of the food bin in line with the temple. Once he locates something, you may have to be persistent before he will actually start digging. Keep dropping him there - it could take many, many tries. Once he starts digging, and the scaffolding appears, other builders (if you have any), regardless of skill, will start to help, too!



    Puzzle 16 is the moving of the boulder, which can be done only by the Golden Child. You don't need to make him do anything (and it won't work if you try). Just give it some time, and he will take care of it for you. After he鈥檚 born, you should just watch him for a while, if you have the time - it's entertaining to see him solve that puzzle, especially when you have a lot of villagers.

    You need to put more ppl to the table to do the research, then you will get more tech point.



    Try no to have too many baby at the beginning, as the villagers don't work once they are having baby.



    You may want to get the fertility tech, then the mating will be easy.

    I have made the stew as the recipe states, 2 of the flowers by the mosaic and one of the black flowers in the graveyard. I have made it everyway imaginable. I have had tons of each profession try to eat it. I have tried about 5 times now and no luck. They won't eat the stew. I have completed everything in my goals including gotten all the collections.     One piece of the gong is located in the pool on the eastern edge of the village. This sunken gong piece is obtained by making a special magic stew consisting of one of the black flowers near the waterfall and two of the large orange flowers to the south of the village.     I bought the second level in science because it said my tech can increase faster but when I bought it after 5 minutes later I realize that my tech only increased 1 point and if I want it to reach 80,000 to 150,000 tech points I had to spend a quadriple million kazillion 5 minutes!!     By buying science tech your points will increase faster.... though it's not heaps faster...... the only other way to get tech points faster is to have more people researching at the table....... increase your population and have most of them researching....... also master scientist gain points alittle faster as well................

    it doesn't take that long. maybe half a day coz i started at night and by morning its done. yes for next question.

    You could try picking them up and zooming them over to the blockage every time they drop off a boulder. It does take some time but worth it. Hint - get more people researching so you can buy more stuff. Some things won't happen till you've bought everything up. Another thing you could do is go to options and increase the time of game play X2 for a while. Don't do it for too long though as everything speeds up including deaths.
    Click on the blockage, it will tell you how many percent they have cleared.

    The boulder can only be moved by the Golden Child, oh it's too long to tell here so see this site:

    set time to double time if you're in a hurry, this can be done in the options screen choose 2x , yes the boulders must be carried all the way to the storage spot for the blockage to be cleared,

    There is an absolute population cap. If you've built every building and collected all the collectibles then your population will be at its max.



    35 should be more than enough to run a completely self-sufficient colony though.

    Well normally, they can't just sex it up and have babies. The higher breeding skill you have, the more likely they are to have babies. Also, If you purchase the upgrade "fertility", the chances that they will have babies will increase. Just continue to do what you are doing, and eventually, your babies will be born.

    I have 11 milestones completed, but am at a lost for the other 5. I have a general idea of what they are, but there are no hints as to how to achieve them.How do you unlock the other milestones in Virtual Villagers?
    Puzzle 1 requires a builder to clean up the well, so that there will be a source of fresh water for your tribe. Drag a villager with some building skill to the well.



    Puzzle 2 is the first of 3 additional huts that your villagers will construct as your population grows and your villagers require more housing. The huts will be initiated, as needed, by one of your builders. Your population is limited to 7 villagers until the first hut is finished. Once it’s finished, your tribe can grow to a population of 15. The second hut allows your population to expand to 30 villagers, and the final hut allows your population to grow to the population limit of approximately 90 villagers. You must have a villager trained in building in order to build the new huts. At the start of the game, one of your builders already has skill in building and will work on the hut unless you retrain them and assign them to a different occupation. It’s important to make sure that you have at least one builder in your village so that you will be able to provide additional housing for your growing tribe. If none of your villagers has any skill in building, and you need to train a builder, your villagers can gain building skill by fixing any of the 3 huts that they have constructed.



    Puzzle 3 is completed by cleaning up the debris on the beach. Completion of this puzzle is required before your villagers will be able to fish in the ocean (which also requires Level 3 of Harvesting). Drag a villager to the debris field and they will begin cleaning up the beach.

Once your villagers have put sufficient water on the field (it takes a lot of water), the field will be revived and will once again be in full bloom.



    Puzzle 10 is dependent upon the butterflies from puzzle 14. Those butterflies will be able to pollinate a special plant on the island. Once the butterflies begin to follow the Golden Child, drag him or her to the strange plant north of the berry bush.



    Puzzle 11 is the restoration of the temple at the site of the ruins. After attaining Level 2 of Spirituality and Level 3 of Construction, drag one of your villagers to the ruins in the southeast portion of the island, and they will begin restoring the ruins.



    Puzzle 12 is dependent upon the completion of the temple, as well as attaining Level 3 of Spirituality. Drag one of your builders to the sparkly rock on the west side of the village, and they will begin to chisel the rock.



    Puzzle 13 is the birth of the Golden Child and requires the completion of the idol, the lagoon, and Level 3 in Fertility. You will need to take a nursing mom to the lagoon.



    Puzzle 14 is dependent upon the Golden Child. Take the Golden Child to the Magic Flower Garden.



    Puzzle 15 is a buried treasure. Its location can be discovered only by a master builder. Your tribe must also have researched Level 3 in both Construction and Science before they have the technology required to make the discovery. You must actually drop your builder in the right location - dragging him around won't help you find it. Look for the message, "Is something buried here?" to tell you that you're in the right place. If you want a hint for the location, highlight the following white text: Try dropping your builder in various sandy places in the lower half of the village map to see if he notices anything. If you want the exact location, highlight this text: Try dropping your builder directly south of the food bin in line with the temple. Once he locates something, you may have to be persistent before he will actually start digging. Keep dropping him there - it could take many, many tries. Once he starts digging, and the scaffolding appears, other builders (if you have any), regardless of skill, will start to help, too!



    Puzzle 16 is the moving of the boulder, which can be done only by the Golden Child. You don't need to make him do anything (and it won't work if you try). Just give it some time, and he will take care of it for you.     Your little band of villagers has washed up on a remote island, and they’re lost and confused. Now what? There are two basic objectives in Virtual Villagers: successfully managing the day-to-day routine of your little band of castaways, so that they are able to thrive in their new home, and unlocking the mysteries of Isola. The former is absolutely necessary to make sure that your little villagers survive, which will allow you to pursue the second objective of solving the puzzles. The trick is in finding the right balance between the two. The more villagers you have, the faster they can research new technologies and solve the puzzles, but having too many mouths to feed can quickly deplete available food supplies and spell disaster for your tribe!



    The first thing you need to work on in Virtual Villagers is making sure that your villagers’ basic needs are met. Their most urgent need is food, which you’ll find in limited supply at the berry bush. They will soon need additional housing, too, and there is already a partially completed hut that your builder can get to work on. Turning on tutorial mode (Help) the first time through the game will help familiarize you with the mechanics of playing Virtual Villagers.



    A good strategy for success early in the game is to make sure that you keep the food supply above the 300-400 level, if at all possible. Your villagers will be less worried about food, and much more productive if you do that. Don’t be in too big a rush to create a baby boom, or you might find yourself scrambling to save your tribe from the brink of starvation. There are some important points to keep in mind as you develop your own strategy for playing Virtual Villagers:



    * The berry supply is limited and you’ll need to find another food source as soon as possible.

    * Nursing mothers devote all of their time to caring for their baby and don’t do any productive work in the village for 2 years of game time.

    * Babies eat as much as adults and making too many babies too soon can quickly create a food crisis.

    * Any villager (even a sick one) can heal another villager, but healing is only possible when a villager’s status is “Sick” (check the Details screen).

    * Sometimes a villager will "resist" healing attempts by a specific doctor. If that happens, try to heal your sick villager again with a different villager.

    * Sick villagers need to be healed or they will weaken and die

    * Villagers can become weakened by such things as prolonged disease, starvation, on-the-job injuries, animal attacks, or old age.

    * Villagers who show a status of "Weakened" will generally improve in health over time unless they are sick, elderly or continue to suffer injuries.

    * The villagers need to be taught to perform a job – they will not initiate tasks in an occupation in which they have no skill.

    * Your villagers will not produce babies if there is not enough housing

    * You can view information about various technology advancements on the Village Tech screen by clicking on the “?” button for that technology. This information will help you choose the order in which to purchase new technology.

    * The villagers’ curiosity is often a clue to puzzles.

    * The children can find and harvest a certain kind of food.

    * Picking up a villager while they’re working will interrupt them, and they will drop the object that they were carrying.

    * Be sure to check the details screen to see if a villager has specific likes and dislikes, which could affect what they will do.







    General puzzle strategy guide:



    Most of the puzzles are dependent upon some combination of Village Tech, villager skills, and other puzzles. Although some puzzles depend upon the completion of specific puzzles, the 16 puzzles are rarely completed in the order that you see them on the puzzle screen. Pay attention to the things that your villagers are curious about and the messages that you see when you take one of your villagers “exploring” around the island. These often provide clues that will help you solve the puzzles. Another good strategy is to drag one of your adult villagers around the island after every tech purchase and look for new things that they can work on. Most of the frustration related to solving the puzzles is brought on by impatience. It takes time for your villagers to gain the necessary skills and technology to work through all of the puzzles.



    Hints for the 16 puzzles:



    You can safely browse these if you just need a gentle push in the right direction. Each puzzle is referred to by number. The puzzles are counted sequentially, with 1 being the leftmost puzzle in the top row, and 16 being the rightmost puzzle in the bottom row.



    Puzzle 1 is something that a builder can to do to provide a source of fresh water for your tribe.



    Puzzle 2 allows your population to grow larger by providing additional housing for your villagers.



    Puzzle 3 allows access to the ocean. Villagers don’t like dirty beaches.



    For Puzzle 4 you should take a highly skilled villager exploring just north of the research table.



    Puzzle 5 requires a certain level of Village Tech. Take a villager exploring in the northwest portion of the island.



    Puzzle 6 requires a certain level of Village Tech, a highly skilled villager, and the completion of puzzle 5.



    Puzzle 7 allows your poor, departed villagers to receive a proper burial. Level 2 of a certain Village Tech is required, along with a peaceful place away from the hubbub of village life.



    Puzzle 8 has no dependency on either Village Tech or other puzzles, and can be completed very early in the game. It involves more than one game location.



    Puzzle 9 depends upon the completion of puzzle 5. Take a villager exploring on the east side of the village.



    Puzzle 10 depends upon the completion of puzzle 14. Take a special person exploring the island.



    Puzzle 11 requires a certain level of Village Tech. Take a villager exploring on the southeast side of the village.



    Puzzle 12 depends upon the completion of puzzle 11 and additional Village Tech. Take a villager exploring on the west side of the village.



    Puzzle 13 will produce a very special person who will be able to do very special things. Certain levels of Village Tech and the completion of puzzle 12 are required to complete this puzzle.



    Puzzle 14 depends upon the completion of Puzzle 13. Take the special person exploring the island.



    Puzzle 15 has no dependency on other puzzles. It can be solved as soon as you have the necessary Village Tech and a villager who has mastered a specific skill. Unlike the way you located the other puzzles, you have to actually drop your skilled villager in the right place to find what you're looking for. Dragging him around the island won't reveal the location.



    Puzzle 16 depends upon the completion of puzzle 13. A special person will do something that no other villager can do.

    Puzzle 7 is the discovery of the graveyard and requires Level 2 of Spirituality to complete. When one of your villagers dies, drag an adult villager to the northeast corner of the island. The villagers will celebrate the discovery and will then proceed to provide a proper burial for that little pile of bones in village center. After the first burial, your villagers will initiate burials for all deceased members of the tribe.



    Puzzle 8 requires that your villagers master the medicinal properties of 4 plants indigenous to the island. One plant is located south of the lagoon site, one is the cactus that鈥檚 located near the boulder, and the other two are on the east side of the island. Drag a villager to each of the 4 plants until each one is mastered.



    Puzzle 9 is dependent upon the completion of the lagoon. Take one of your villagers to the field on the east side of the island (where they see dead flowers), and they will begin to water the field with the pure water from the lagoon. If you have builders in your tribe, they will begin to water the field on their own. Villagers without building skill will water the field, also, but will stop after one trip. Once your villagers have put sufficient water on the field (it takes a lot of water), the field will be revived and will once again be in full bloom.



    Puzzle 10 is dependent upon the butterflies from puzzle 14. Those butterflies will be able to pollinate a special plant on the island. Once the butterflies begin to follow the Golden Child, drag him or her to the strange plant north of the berry bush.



    Puzzle 11 is the restoration of the temple at the site of the ruins. After attaining Level 2 of Spirituality and Level 3 of Construction, drag one of your villagers to the ruins in the southeast portion of the island, and they will begin restoring the ruins.



    Puzzle 12 is dependent upon the completion of the temple, as well as attaining Level 3 of Spirituality. Drag one of your builders to the sparkly rock on the west side of the village, and they will begin to chisel the rock.



    Puzzle 13 is the birth of the Golden Child and requires the completion of the idol, the lagoon, and Level 3 in Fertility. You will need to take a nursing mom to the lagoon.



    Puzzle 14 is dependent upon the Golden Child. Take the Golden Child to the Magic Flower Garden.



    Puzzle 15 is a buried treasure. Its location can be discovered only by a master builder. Your tribe must also have researched Level 3 in both Construction and Science before they have the technology required to make the discovery. You must actually drop your builder in the right location - dragging him around won't help you find it. Look for the message, "Is something buried here?" to tell you that you're in the right place. If you want a hint for the location, highlight the following white text: Try dropping your builder in various sandy places in the lower half of the village map to see if he notices anything. If you want the exact location, highlight this text: Try dropping your builder directly south of the food bin in line with the temple. Once he locates something, you may have to be persistent before he will actually start digging. Keep dropping him there - it could take many, many tries. Once he starts digging, and the scaffolding appears, other builders (if you have any), regardless of skill, will start to help, too!



    Puzzle 16 is the moving of the boulder, which can be done only by the Golden Child. You don't need to make him do anything (and it won't work if you try). Just give it some time, and he will take care of it for you. After he鈥檚 born, you should just watch him for a while, if you have the time - it's entertaining to see him solve that puzzle, especially when you have a lot of villagers.

    i really hate it when people ask such a broad questions but here are all the spoilers so if you don't want the puzzles ruined don't read on:

    Don鈥檛 read these unless you want to know exactly how to solve each of the puzzles.



    Puzzle 1 requires a builder to clean up the well, so that there will be a source of fresh water for your tribe. Drag a villager with some building skill to the well.



    Puzzle 2 is the first of 3 additional huts that your villagers will construct as your population grows and your villagers require more housing. The huts will be initiated, as needed, by one of your builders. Your population is limited to 7 villagers until the first hut is finished. Once it鈥檚 finished, your tribe can grow to a population of 15. The second hut allows your population to expand to 30 villagers, and the final hut allows your population to grow to the population limit of approximately 90 villagers. You must have a villager trained in building in order to build the new huts. At the start of the game, one of your builders already has skill in building and will work on the hut unless you retrain them and assign them to a different occupation. It鈥檚 important to make sure that you have at least one builder in your village so that you will be able to provide additional housing for your growing tribe. If none of your villagers has any skill in building, and you need to train a builder, your villagers can gain building skill by fixing any of the 3 huts that they have constructed.



    Puzzle 3 is completed by cleaning up the debris on the beach. Completion of this puzzle is required before your villagers will be able to fish in the ocean (which also requires Level 3 of Harvesting). Drag a villager to the debris field and they will begin cleaning up the beach.



    Puzzle 4 is the founding of a school for your village. Drag a master scientist to the long building north of the research table.



    Puzzle 5 is completed by removing the blockage from the creek in the northwest corner of the village. Your villagers will need to have researched Level 2 of Construction to work on this puzzle. Drag a villager to the pile of rocks blocking the flow of water from the creek. Once the blockage is cleared, the water will flow into a sparkling lagoon that your villagers will use for various work and leisure activities. This puzzle is a key to three other puzzles.



    Puzzle 6 is dependent upon the completion of the lagoon and level 3 of Harvesting. Take a master farmer to the lagoon, and they will begin hunting a strange fish. It may take many tries before they succeed, so be patient and keep trying.

    To solve most of the rest u need to buy all the levels in the tech section. Except for the # 8 one. For that one just take a villager to all of the plant on the outermost limits of the village. Keep them at each one until it says they understand it. The fifth one you have to have level 2 of building i think. Maybe 3 but i think 2. Keep taking builders there until it says clearing blockage. The big rock behind the school u have to have level 3 spirituality. The calm clearing will come with level 2 spirituality. Once u have bought all the tech u can take a nursing mother to the cleared lagoon(puzzle 5) and drop her in. Do this until you get a golden child. After u get him he will solve the others on his own. The cave, fruitless plant and butterflies can only be solved by him.
